Copenhagen City Hall itself is where the world’s first same-sex partnership took place back in 1989. This Square is part of our DNA.
The City Hall Square is a centrally located square in the middle of Copenhagen it is one of the busiest places in the city. It is Denmarks largest range of neon light advertising. The first light advertisement on Rådhuspladsen was installed in 1931
The large square is a gathering place in connection with demonstrations, large concerts, exhibitions and other events.
Since 2019 there has been a metro station on the City Hall Square, which is part of the The City Circle Line
